Export and print your plan
Choose an export by what you want to do next. A file for printing, a file for a calendar, and a file for restoring the plan carry different information. Review the current plan before downloading, especially after editing a date or changing the selected crops.

Choose a format
Open the plan’s export controls or the relevant tool download. A bed diagram needs an existing layout; a disabled SVG action is a prompt to create or select one, not an invitation to download an empty file.
| Format | Purpose | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Read or print a page layout | A snapshot, not an editable backup | |
| CSV | Work with task rows | Keep machine dates and crop IDs distinct from display labels |
| ICS | Import all-day tasks into a calendar | Check the receiving application’s import behavior |
| SVG | Use a layout diagram and its dimensions | A drawing, not a guarantee of full-size printing |
| JSON | Restore the editable plan | Preserves versioned structure and assumptions |
PDF and print
Select A4 or US Letter and inspect the page preview. Keep the notes and source information you want on the working copy. Longer plans continue onto additional pages; check repeated headings and the final task on each page.
Download PDF when you want a reusable document. Print opens the printable view for your browser’s print controls. Printer scaling and margins can still affect the paper result, so review the preview provided by the browser as well. Exports and print pages do not contain advertisement slots.
CSV for task rows
CSV dates use an unambiguous year-month-day form. A spreadsheet may automatically reformat them when opening the file; use its import settings if you need to preserve the text exactly. Stable crop identifiers help distinguish the record from the wording shown on the site.
Notes that could be interpreted as spreadsheet formulas are exported defensively as text. Use JSON when you need a faithful editable plan rather than relying on a spreadsheet’s automatic interpretation of a table.
Calendar dates in ICS
Tasks use all-day dates instead of a midnight timestamp. A displayed window includes its last day. The iCalendar standard uses an end boundary that is not included, so May 8–15 is represented with May 16 as the end boundary in the file.
That file boundary does not add a May 16 planting day. Inspect the imported event in your calendar to confirm the visible range. Importing an updated file can produce duplicates in some applications; stable event identities do not guarantee identical update behavior in every calendar.
Layouts and backups
SVG preserves the layout’s point set, units, and dimension labels. Compare its count with the tool before using it. Read the measurements rather than assuming that an arbitrary printed SVG is a full-size planting template.
JSON is the recovery format. Keep it when you want dates, manual overrides, task status, notes, and parameter snapshots together. Review private notes before sharing any export; generating a file does not send it to another person.
When a download fails
Keep the plan open, read the error, and try the export again after addressing the stated issue. Do not clear the plan to retry. A ready status should appear only when the file has actually been prepared, and a failed export should leave the current inputs intact.
