This page describes the planning tools in this release of SowWindow. Plans are kept in your browser, and the tools do not require an account, an address, or device location. Local saving does not mean that visiting a website produces no network requests.

Information in your plan
A plan can contain the name you choose, frost dates, crop selections, planting tasks, notes, statuses, layouts, and calculation assumptions. These values are used in the browser to calculate, edit, save, and export the plan. The planning tools do not send those entered records to a remote planning service.
Enter only information you need for gardening. Notes are ordinary plan data, not a secure vault. Someone with access to the same browser profile or a downloaded backup may be able to read them.
Local storage and preferences
SowWindow uses browser storage to retain plans and interface preferences such as the selected theme. Storage belongs to the site in the browser you use. Clearing site data can remove saved plans, and a different browser does not automatically receive them.
Browser policies and storage limits can prevent a save. Private browsing is not a reliable place for the only copy of a plan. Check the save message and keep a JSON backup when the information matters.
Imports and downloaded files
An imported backup is read for validation and restoration in the browser. Selecting it does not submit it as a support message. A rejected import must not replace the current plan.
Exports contain the information appropriate to the selected format. JSON can preserve the full editable plan, while other formats can include tasks, dates, notes, and diagrams. Files remain wherever your browser saves them. Deleting a plan here does not delete those files or events you imported into a calendar application.
Ordinary website requests
Opening SowWindow requests pages and assets from its hosting infrastructure. Those requests involve normal connection information, such as the requested resource and network address. Hosting systems may process technical information to deliver the site and protect its operation.
This release does not enable advertising or analytics scripts. Source links lead to external websites only when you choose to follow them; those sites have their own practices. The planning tools do not perform weather, geolocation, or remote AI requests for your calculations.
Your controls
You can delete a saved plan, export a backup, or remove the site’s stored data through your browser settings. Back up anything you wish to keep before clearing storage. If you have shared a file or imported it into another service, manage that copy in the relevant place.
Review a download before sending it to anyone. The fact that a calculation happened locally does not remove personal notes from an exported file.
Email correspondence
If you choose to email SowWindow, your email address, message, and any attachments pass through email services so we can read and respond to your request. They are separate from the plans stored in your browser.
Send only the information needed for your question. A plan backup may contain private notes; use a small example instead when possible. You can use the contact address for a question about a message you have sent.
Updates and contact
This page must change if the site’s data practices change, including any future use of advertising or analytics. The review date identifies this text revision, not an independent certification. Contact and help provides the SowWindow email address for product and privacy questions.
