Bush beans are direct sown into warm soil. Their compact habit and successive plantings are planned separately from climbing pole beans.

Sources and conditions
The selected bush-bean method is direct sowing.
- These are reviewed planning references. Check the variety, local soil and weather before acting; a frost date is not a forecast.
- This preset follows direct sowing; it does not schedule a separate nursery period.
No transplant action is supplied by this selected direct-sowing method.

The last-frost boundary is an earliest reference, with an additional soil-warmth requirement.

- Sow after last frost when daytime soil temperatures average at least 60°F.
A planning reference, not a weather forecast.
Wait for warmth as well as a date
The last-frost boundary is only an earliest reference. The seed source also gives a soil-temperature condition; cold soil can make an apparently timely sowing unsuccessful.
Use one spacing system
The selected layout follows the home-garden row guide. Another source gives a closer sowing rate, but it is not mixed with this system’s row and final-stand assumptions.
Make each batch visible
A repeat schedule can distribute sowing across the season. Give each batch its own bed section or record when the preceding stand will be removed, rather than assuming dates create space.
Questions growers ask
Why does this interval differ from another bean guide?
Reviewed sources suggest different intervals under different practices. This preset selects the succession chart and preserves that source; a longer interval can be saved as a user override.
Sources and conditions
These sources describe particular climates and growing methods. Use the conditions alongside the numbers.
Direct-sown bush beans after frost with warmed soil. Its longer interval suggestion is not silently mixed with the selected succession chart.
General intervals under standard growing practices. Crop purpose and protected-cover exceptions matter; these are not harvest guarantees.
Bush snap beans and pole beans have distinct support and succession needs; other bean species are excluded.
