Match spacing to what you will harvest

The Minnesota guide separates full-size plants, mini heads and baby-leaf lettuce. The planner keeps each plant range and the published row range. Changing the harvest goal should trigger a review of both spacing and the succession option.

Understand the editable example

The full-head example uses twelve inches between plants and eighteen inches between rows. A thirty-centimeter square grid is a user layout, not the selected source’s row recommendation. It can be saved as an override without changing the reviewed range.

Reserve space for later batches

A dense early leaf crop and a bed of mature heads use space differently. Assign each planned batch a bed section and its intended harvest stage. The position count describes that chosen stand, not the number of cuts possible from it.

Questions growers ask

Will changing from heads to baby leaves also change the calendar?

It should change the selected succession option as well as the spacing system. Their intervals and autumn boundaries are reviewed separately.
